In the wave of digital transformation in the restaurant industry, the efficiency of coordination between front-of-house cashiering and back-of-house production directly determines table turnover rates and customer satisfaction. As a brand deeply engaged in commercial display and restaurant technology for many years, Qtenboard has deeply integrated desktop POS terminals with Kitchen Display Systems (KDS) to build a complete intelligent operating environment spanning order placement, payment, and kitchen dispatch. This combination not only eliminates the delays and errors associated with traditional paper ticket delivery but also achieves millisecond-level order data synchronization between front and back of house through fully self-developed hardware and software capabilities.

The Qtenboard desktop POS terminal serves as the "nerve center" of this operating environment. It integrates a high-performance processor, thermal printing module, and multi-payment method support, enabling rapid order entry, cashiering, member identification, and order aggregation. Once a customer completes payment at the counter, order information is instantly pushed to the kitchen KDS terminal via network without any manual transfer. For scenarios with dense order volumes during peak hours, such as fast food and tea beverage outlets, this process eliminates issues like illegible handwriting, missed orders, or wrong orders that can occur during handwritten ticket delivery, safeguarding order accuracy from the source.

The kitchen-side Qtenboard KDS transforms orders into intuitive digital tickets and automatically routes them to corresponding workstations based on preset logic. Its software supports multi-station routing, precisely pushing different categories such as grilled, fried, cold dishes, and expediting to dedicated screens, preventing kitchen staff from being distracted by irrelevant information. Meanwhile, the system manages order priority through color coding—new orders appear green, waiting orders turn yellow, and overdue orders become red. Chefs can determine which tickets require immediate attention at a glance. Combined with item-level countdown functionality, the KDS automatically escalates alerts for dishes approaching overtime, effectively preventing missed orders or delayed serving during busy periods.

The stable performance of this operating environment relies on Qtenboard's targeted hardware design. KDS terminals feature IP65 sealing rating and fanless cooling structure, resisting oil fumes, moisture, and high temperatures in kitchen environments while ensuring reliable operation under 7×24 continuous use. The screen supports high-sensitivity multi-touch, allowing chefs to quickly complete actions like "order complete" even with oily or wet hands. For deployment flexibility, devices are available in 15.6-inch, 21.5-inch, and 27-inch specifications, supporting wall-mount, pole-mount, and desktop installation to suit different space conditions from single-store kitchens to chain central kitchens. From an overall operational perspective, the pairing of Qtenboard desktop POS and KDS is not merely a hardware combination but a deeply adapted closed-loop solution. Every transaction generated at the POS is synchronized to the KDS analytics dashboard, enabling managers to track serving times, workstation throughput, and peak-hour bottlenecks, providing data basis for staffing and menu optimization. This front-to-back data connectivity enables stores to maintain efficient and accurate output rhythm under constantly changing customer flow pressures.
